ADOPTION PROCESS
Spotted the Right Dog?
- Fill out an adoption application. Return it online or print out and mail.
- We review applications as they come in to find the best match for each dog. This can sometimes take a week; we appreciate your patience!
- If your family is the best fit for a pooch, we'll call you to set up a Meet & Greet. (Because we don't have a shelter and all of our dogs are in foster care, the Meet & Greet is the first opportunity you'll have to meet the dog face-to-face.)
- Love at first sight? You'll sign the Preliminary Adoption form, and begin your 2-week trial. During this time, SDRO is available to answer your questions. We even have a no-cost-to-you certified dog trainer to advise you.

You just found love – at a pretty small price.
Your new dog has been treated by a veterinarian to ensure that s/he is immunized, flea-free, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has healthy teeth.
10% discount for senior citizens and veterans!
If you are 60 or older, or you're a veteran, then you're entitled to a little extra love when you adopt one of our wonderful pooches.
You can pay fees online!
